Concession stand workers needed

We have 11 home ball games this season. We would like to split concession work equally between the 3 teams that will profit from the proceeds.

Girls Basketball team- 11/5, 11/16 & 11/19

2 people will be needed to work each game. Please no children. Mrs. Janice will graciously have hotdogs cooked and pizza rolls ordered. These people will be responsible for clean-up of the stand after the game. Each coach is responsible for signing up workers for your games. Please email Janice and Penny when you have your workers lined up.

Would like for every player to think of something positive from the game they did and something that they need to work on.

Jamboree today

The Bears had there jamboree game today vs. UHA. The team played hard. Pleased with the effort. Had players diving on the floor after loose balls, hustling, playing good defense at times. When they hustled after the opening jitters they hung with the team.
Pleased with the effort but we still have a long ways to go. If we all work together we can accomplish a lot.

2009 Middle School Jamboree 10/31/09 @ LCHS

The 6th annual Middle School Jamboree will be Saturday October 31st. Admission will be $3.00. Game will consist of 4 - 9 minute quarter.
The Chandlers boys will play the Russellville boys at 4:00pm.

One of the drills we will be doing daily is called Kentucky Workout.
It is a ball handling drill and you will perform the following moves

Info From Coach Mac about Team Camp

I have listed the team basketball camp information, that we spoke of earlier this year, in regards to sending returning junior high players to participate in. The camp will be held at the University of Louisville, June 12th thru the 14th. We will begin practice, for those who have registered, the last week in May and practice a couple of days each week prior to the camp. All students who are currently in grades 4th through 7th are eligible to participate as they will be playing as a middle school team. We will evaluate the players who sign up and balance out the rosters in regards to skill level if we have enough for more than one team. Teams will play 6 plus games, stay in air-conditioned dorms, meals will be provided by the U of L dining halls, each player will receive a camp t-shirt, and is guaranteed playing time. The total cost for each player is $160.00, this is an overnight camp, players will be staying in the university dorms and be supervised at night by U of L players, transportation is not provided. Attached is the medical release waiver that each player must return with their camp fee. The camp fee and release form is due to the junior high coach no later than April 20th (the medical release form is page 2 of the attachment).

Logan Leader News Democrat

The local newspaper is currently working on a project called "Middle School Madness." This will be a insert in the paper. It will go out on 1/3/0/2009.
This will be a paper full of nothing but info on the middle school basketball teams. Local business will place ads in this section wishing all of the schools and players good luck. There will also be spots available for parents, grandparents or any family member to put a picture and a message. The spots are 2X3 ( 3-1/2" W & 3" D) and they are $30. If you are interested or have any questions you can contact Heather Justice at the newspaper 726-8394 Monday-Friday 8:00pm-5:00pm. Deadline in 1/21.
