1st Game of Season

First game of season is Thursday 11-6-08 vs. Russellville away.

Jamboree Saturday @ LCHS

We play UHA @ 9:00am. girls need to be there around 8:30am.
Boys also play UHA @ 10:00.

ID Badges

We will be making ID badges shortly for the ball team players and manager.
If they want to attend a game at LCHS they will have free admission with a
paid adult admission.

Successful Coaches Clinic

Thanks to Coach MacAllister, Coach Simpson, Coach Vanderpool and Coach Vaughn for a successful Coaches Clinic today @ LCHS. Also a special thanks for the girls high school team there to work with the girls and show their support for the program. The girls were exposed to a lot of new basketball skills and drills. We hope that they will take these skills and improve upon them to make Logan County basketball better.
Our goal is to make the girls better players.

Will be at Chandlers School on 11-18-08 @ 9:30am to
talk with the 2nd-5th graders about a book she has written.
The girls basketball team will also be able to attend
this session.

TRYOUTS

Since the theme of the first few days of tryouts will be "wind sprints" AKA as running (17) we have added some music dealing with running to the site.

Tryouts begin Monday Oct 13th

32 Girls showed up at meeting to express interest in trying out for the "Lady Bears".
There is a song by Paul McCartney & Wings (YES a former Beatle) "Band on the Run".
The first few days we will be a "Team on the Run". "R U Red E"

Tryouts Start MONDAY

If the following pictures describe your "work out"
during fall break you might want to start running
to get into shape just a litte. HINT HINT

Open Gym at LCHS

There will be open gym at LCHS on Wednesday - Friday (Oct 8,9,&10)
during fall break from 3:00-pm-5:00pm.
You are more than welcome to attend.
There have been about 6 Jr High players (And younger)
attending these. MUST HAVE SPORTS PHYSICAL ON FILE.

You might want to see if you can attend these sessions as
they might give you a head start on tryouts,

Oct 18th Coaches Clinic at LCHS

The Logan County Coaching staff will have a Coaches Clinic at LCHS from
8:00-10:00am on 18th. ALL PLAYERS MUST ATTEND. Also Sports Warehouse
will be at LCHS to size the girls for shoes at this time.
